Mumbai: ICICI Prudential Life Insurance has launched ICICI Pru iProtect Smart Her, a comprehensive term insurance solution designed specifically around the evolving financial, health and wellness needs of women. Another key feature is the Child Education Care option, which is designed to provide a growing stream of income to the nominee for up to 10 years. Under this option, the death benefit payable to the nominee increases by 10% every year for the next 10 years, providing a structured source of income to support a child’s educational needs.
Vikas Gupta, Chief Product Officer, ICICI Prudential Life Insurance, said women often manage multiple responsibilities, resulting in financial planning needs that can evolve significantly at different stages of life. He said iProtect Smart Her has been designed to combine comprehensive life protection with features addressing women’s specific health and wellness requirements.
The product also includes a range of women-focused health management services. These include tele-consultations with doctors across multiple specialities, annual health check-ups, health risk assessments, wellness content, and discounts on pharmacy and diagnostic services, along with other healthcare benefits.

According to the company, the product offers benefits worth up to ₹92,100 in total, including women-specific health and wellness benefits of up to ₹25,000. The offering is intended to provide additional value beyond conventional term insurance by combining financial protection with healthcare and wellness support.
ICICI Prudential Life said its digital capabilities will support the customer journey, enabling users to purchase the product digitally, access self-service facilities and complete the claims process through convenient digital channels.
The launch comes as the insurer continues to focus on developing products aimed at strengthening long-term financial security for customers. The company said its customer-centric approach is also reflected in its FY27 first-quarter performance, with a reported claim settlement ratio of 99.3%. It also reported an average turnaround time of one day for non-investigative individual death claims.
With ICICI Pru iProtect Smart Her, the insurer aims to address the changing financial and protection requirements of women while combining life cover with health, wellness and financial flexibility in a single offering.
